Quality Assurance Update
Annual Renewal and Practising Fewer than 500 Hours
Dietitians must declare their practice hours in the last three years annually as part of their registration renewal, due this fall on October 31. Those who declare fewer than 500 hours of dietetic practice in the past three years are referred to the Quality Assurance Committee for next steps, which may involve an assessment, to ensure that the member has maintained competence to practice.

JKAT and PPA Cancelled for 2020
The response to COVID-19 is impacting everyone. For those on the front-lines of health care, that impact can be even more significant. The College understands this and has therefore decided to reschedule the
Jurisprudence Knowledge & Assessment Tool (JKAT) and the
Peer and Practice Review (PPA) to Spring 2021.
Members who were selected for the JKAT and the PPA in 2020 will be deferred to 2021.
