The College of Dietitians is pleased to collaborate with other health regulatory colleges to present a two-part workshop series addressing worldview, intersectionality, identity, microaggressions, bias and critical self-reflection for our members.

As regulators, we acknowledge that systemic racism and discrimination exist in dietetics, which directly impacts client-centred care.

The CDO is pleased to collaborate with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and other health regulatory colleges to present this two-part workshop series for our members addressing worldview, intersectionality, identity, microaggressions, bias and critical self-reflection.

Upcoming Workshop Series (2 parts): Reimagining Relationships to Work and Self

These two-part workshops, run by Future Ancestors, will help dietitians and students engage in dialogue, identify inherent beliefs and biases that underpin decisions, and implement strategies for social change for safe, competent, and ethical dietetic services.

Workshops will hold space for participants to build their capacity in critically articulating their worldviews and meaningful relationships with work and self. Through self-reflective practice and a principled approach, participants will take away strategies to foster anti-racist workplaces and relationships.

The two-part workshops will run virtually September 15 (part 1) and September 29th (part 2) and are free to attend. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions live to best engage in dialogue and self-reflection. Archived versions of the sessions will not be available.
