Advertising and third party communications

The College of Dietitians of Ontario will not sell, rent or exchange its membership list with any person or organization for any purposes except as required by law. The purpose for which the College collects, uses and discloses personal information about its members is to carry out its regulatory mandate and objects.

The College will not communicate or advertise to members on behalf of a third party information of general interest, employment opportunities or marketing of health care products, publications, conferences, courses or workshops.

Exceptionally, the College will communicate information to its members on behalf of a third party if the purpose of the communication is directly related to:

  • The College’s public protection mandate
  • The College’s regulatory objects
  • The College’s mandate to regulate  Registered Dietitians in Ontario
