The 2018 workshop, Record Keeping in Dietetic Practice: Facilitating Quality Health Care, focused on understanding why the client health record was an important part of facilitating quality client care. The workshop also provided guidance and suggestions for enhanced or best practices outside of clinical practice.

The College welcomes our new Practice Advisor and Policy Analyst, Diane Candiotto, RD. 

The College is pleased to announce that Deborah Cohen RD, has moved from the Practice Advisory Program to the position of Registration Program Manager. Here are a few words from Deborah.

The Jurisprudence Knowledge and Assessment Tool (JKAT) is the main tool that the Quality Assurance (QA) program uses to ensure that members have the knowledge and can apply the laws, standards, guidelines and ethics relevant to the profession of dietetics in Ontario. This article answers some frequently asked questions from members.

All College members who are practicing dietetics in and outside of Ontario must have liability insurance. 

The Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 does not require an order for diets in long-term care homes, but dietitians should consult their organizational policies.

The College would like to thank all those who responded to the consultation on the proposed amendments to the Registration Regulation. Your input is greatly appreciated and plays a significant role in effective self-regulation of the dietetic profession in Ontario.

Starting April 1, 2019, the government implemented changes to the current OHIP+ program.

Using the title dietitian in Ontario is prohibited under the Dietetics Act, 1991, unless a person is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario. See the names of new members and of members who retired, resigned, or who were suspended between November 6, 2018, and April 23, 2019.
