Registration with the College is required for dietitians outside of Ontario who provide dietetic services to clients in Ontario through virtual means (e.g. phone, online, etc.). Dietitians who are registered outside of Ontario who provide (even short-term) in-person dietetic services and/or use the dietitian title within Ontario, must also be registered with the College.

Using the title dietitian in Ontario is prohibited under the Dietetics Act, 1991, unless a person is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario. See the names of new members and of members who retired, resigned, or who were suspended between April 24 to September 29, 2019.
