Annual Renewal Fees Will Increase in September

CDO’s Board of Directors has approved the operating budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year and a 2% increase to annual renewal fees.
During its March 22 meeting, the CDO Board of Directors approved an increase to the annual renewal fee from $654 to $667, an increase to registrants of two per cent ($13). This increase will serve to balance the need to maintain adequate resources for CDO to fulfill its regulatory mandate and strategic priorities while not imposing undue financial hardship on registrants.
Historically, the College’s annual registration fees align with other colleges of similar size and activities, such as the number of complaints and discipline cases received annually and are considerably lower than many colleges. (See our 2022 comparative chart

In 2023, the Board increased the registration fee for the first time in four years (2019), in recognition of increased costs due to inflation and evolving regulatory requirements.
The Board will annually review the fee and where the Board deems it appropriate, the annual fee may be increased by no more than two per cent each year. If you have any questions related to the fee increase, please contact us at
