In 9 of 10 Canadian provinces, Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) who are members in good standing with the Dietitians Association of Australia qualify for temporary registration and are eligible to write the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination in order to obtain a general/full certificate of registration. The exception is the Province of Quebec.  

Application Process

Processing your application can take between 10-14 days.  All steps in this process may be completed before you come to Canada.

Step 1

Download and complete all application forms. All forms must be submitted before your application will be processed and a certificate issued.

Step 2

Submit the completed application forms along with application fee of $185.00. 

Step 3

The College will contact the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) to confirm that you are an APD member in good standing.

Step 4

Write the Canadian Dietetic Registration Exam. The Registration Exam is written twice each year, in May or November. Once an applicant is deemed eligible to write the exam, they are also eligible for a Temporary Certificate of Registration.
