December 13, 2019

College Performance Measurement Framework 

A representative from the Ontario Ministry of Health presented to Council the proposed College Performance Measurement Framework currently under development by the Ministry. The purpose of the Framework is to standardize data reporting and practices across regulatory colleges to better address accountability, public trust, performance improvement and modernization of the workforce, where feasible. 

Risk Register Review

The Risk Register formally documents areas of risk and  potential risk in College operations and processes, and describes the risk controls already in place to manage them. The Risk Register Review is conducted annually by Staff and the results are presented  to Council.

Budget 2020-2021Approved

Council approved the 2020-2021 budget. 


A Warm Welcome to New Public Members

Council is composed of 14 councillors: eight councillors who are dietitians elected by members of the College and six public members appointed by order in Council as approved by the Ontario Provincial Cabinet. Together, they set the direction for the College's work and make decisions in the best interest of the public. We welcome two new public councillors to the College Council.

Santhikumar Chandrasekharan 

Santhikumar Chandrasekharan holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a food technology background and a post-graduation degree in public administration. He has worked as a Quality Assurance Manager, Compliance Coordinator and Quality Assurance Auditor in various federally inspected Food Processing facilities in Canada. He is the former International Consultant of UNDP and Faculty -Food Inspection in the Higher Colleges of Technology- Abu Dhabi, UAE. He also worked as a Chemist in the Kerala Agro Industries Corporation, India and functioned as a Lecturer and Department In Charge of the Canning and Food Preservation, in the Institute of Hotel Management - Bhubaneswar, India.

Asma Kenshil 

Asma Kenshil is a Management Consultant with a focus on Change Management, Employee Engagement, and Social Innovation. With 10 years’ experience in the private, public, and non-profit sector, both in Canada and overseas, her passion lies in supporting people, leaders and organizations to succeed in the fast paced, ever changing, modern workplace.  Asma holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Behaviour and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology.
